 Chen Tip:

As Far as I know about chen, he can be a battle support type or can be a very dangerous killing type(only good for 1vs1).

As a Killer Type:

    Required Items:

        -Power Threads
        -Dagon
        -Desolator

Dagon can be very dangerous with Penitence and more dangerous combine with Desolator. This is an old school build for Chen and not much very effective anymore in team play. And its not easy to farm this items that is why I only recommend this for 1vs1 battle.

As a Battle Support:

   Required Items:
       -Mekanism
-Guinsoo Scythe(Eul’s Scepter in early game)
-Necromicon (be sure you are good controlling more than 3 units if you are using this one)
       -Boots of Travel
-Helm of Dominator (extra creep or centaur)
-Burize-do-Kyanon or Dagon(recommended only to use in late game and not in early game)

As a battle support take advantage with Holy Persuasion skill as from time to time you can use it for Centaur Creeps.  It takes time to control 4-5 centaurs so it will be hard if your opponent(s) is in a rush mode. With this build, the whole team will gain advantage in early game (lvl 6-11 stage). In the late game, if you are not able to control at least 3 centaurs then it means trouble unless your opponent are newbies. Those centaurs serve as you offense and defense so you really need it because most of the time your opponents will kill you first.

edit: Another thing about using Chen, you need to have a good concentration and focus with this hero, because it is known to be a multi-unit control. If you are able to master chen then you can consider yourself a good puppet master.

  1. Thanks for the tips, I’ve been trying to experiment some items needed for Chen but so far I agree with this tip, it really works well… You have given me an idea to for an extra creep (helm denominator) and necromicon. I never thought about it. Tsk tsk tsk… This gives me a hard time since, it is a multi-unit control.
