The new way of Cooking? Using Plank as part of the recipe.

Plankfish?? What is that?

At first I thought its a new specie but when I looked at the picture

Halibut Plankfish

it’s a food that I want to taste! I keep on thinking what’s so special about a grilled fish cooked on the plank? Well, they said that the plank smoke the fish to give an authentic flavor. Now that’s interesting.

I never thought a simple wood can also be part of the flavor. Cooking and tasting it must be a very interesting experience. Cooking a simple barbecue with your friends is already great and enjoyable. what more can a plankfish be? Smelling the aroma of the barbeque, watching how it cooked, and the sauce! I love the sauce!

What wood to use?

I read an article about it and most people use cedar. And we better make sure that the wood has no chemical treatments on it. Of course we don’t want to spoil our experience with food poisoning. emoticon

It also makes me wonder, if the taste differs on different kinds of wood. Yeah, I guess each may have unique taste. It’s really interesting, I really wish I can taste it soon. emoticon
